Members manage and co-ordinate the running of the café. The Committee is a sub-group of the Murrisk Development Association.

Murrisk has been a participant in the National Tidy Towns Competition since 1998. Since its first entry the village has consistently increased its marks year on year. To view recent Tidy Towns marks Click here
The Committee organises the weekly village lotto. It is a sub-group of the Murrisk Development Association.

St. Augustine's National School is an integral part of the village. It has an active Parents' Association.
