Murrisk Café

The Café is community owned and is located within the Community Centre. It operates with local volunteer support. Refreshments, both hot and cold, together with a range of homemade food are available. Local souvenirs are also on sale.


The Café acts as a meeting point for those coming to climb Croagh Patrick, as well as for local people who drop in for a cuppa and a chat.

The Café can provide refreshments as well as light lunches for pilgrimage groups, school parties and others coming to climb the Holy Mountain. Advance booking is essential. Telephone +353 (0)98 64910 between 10.00am and 5.00pm April to October and between 10.00am and 3.00pm November to March. Climbing sticks are available to buy in the Community Centre.

By sharing their local knowledge, the Café staff and volunteers have built up long standing relationships with many people who visit Murrisk and Croagh Patrick every year.

With access to free Wi-Fi the Café is the perfect place to meet for a chat and a cuppa with friends
